Krista Miller

Evening Anchor
Krista Miller

Krista Miller makes her return to Fort Wayne television to anchor the 6 and 11 PM news on ABC21, fulfilling a childhood dream.

Krista grew up in the small town of Decatur, just south of Fort Wayne.

She graduated from Bellmont High School, then attended Butler University in Indianapolis, earning a degree in Journalism.

While in college, Krista interned at WOWO Radio, where she was offered her first job, anchoring the news for Fort Wayne's Morning News with (the late and great) Charly Butcher.

Krista transitioned to television news in the summer of 2014, joining the team at then-NBC33.

Four years later, Krista took a leap of faith and left home, moving across the country to Wichita, Kansas, to start work at KAKE-TV.

During her two years in Kansas, Krista became engaged to ABC21 anchor Brien McElhatten, and they wed in September 2019 in Decatur.

After two years away, including several months of living long-distance from her husband, Krista moved back to Fort Wayne and accepted a position at ABC21.

Krista and Brien are one of a handful of married anchor teams around the country.

They live in Fort Wayne with their German Shepherd Scout and enjoy (yes, Brien, too) living a short drive from Krista's parents.
