LC Nature Park celebrates National Bison Day with the community
ROANOKE, Ind. (WPTA) - In honor of National Bison Day, the LC Nature Park brought the community out for a free bison-themed event.
In addition to seeing bison, there were many activities, ranging from hay rides to reenactors showing what settlers’ lives were like, to planting.
LC Nature Park Executive Director, Kelly Borgmann, said, “It allows us to bring all types of new people out to the park. So many of the guests have never been here before. We’re only like 5 or 6 years old. So, sharing this park and sharing this beautiful place with people, these amazing animals is just a really special time to get to have this.”
LC Nature Park is the only location in Indiana where bison and elk live together.
