Two students expelled from Prairie Heights High School following threats
LAGRANGE, Ind. (WPTA) - The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office shared Tuesday morning that two students have been expelled from Prairie Heights High School after making threats to student safety over the weekend.
Prairie Heights Community School Corporation officials shared Monday that their investigations into the two students have been completed and both students will not be able to attend Prairie Heights for the remainder of the school year.
Officials go on to say any threats will be taken seriously and that it is up to law enforcement to decide whether or not to charge the students criminally.
Sheriffs say the criminal investigation into both students remains active and while there is no immediate threat to the school, law enforcement will increase security at the school as a precautionary measure.
