FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Temperatures surge today before our next cold front arrives tomorrow.

Today looks to be the warmest day of the week, with highs stretching into the mid 60s. The clear start to the day holds true up until midday, more clouds build in later.

A few showers move in past midnight, with more widespread rain into early Friday morning. A few showers linger into the afternoon, but we dry out in time for the evening. Christmas on Broadway or any local Friday night football games look to be dry and chilly. Temperatures plummet into the 40s with a bit of a breeze.

The weekend remains dry, but a colder trend settles in for next week leading into Thanksgiving.
