Bellmont volleyball battles, but falls to Providence in 3A championship

MUNCIE, Ind. (WPTA) - For the third-straight year, Bellmont volleyball will finish its season as the state runner-up.
The Braves battled through a slow start, and a few mid-match injuries, but came up short in the final, falling to Providence 3-1 (25-19, 31-29, 23-25, 25-21).
Delaney Lawson led the Braves with 22 kills in her final high school match.
Sophomore MaryKate Scheumann had 16 kills, 12 assists, and 15 digs.
