FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Indiana Canine Assistance Network works to pair service dogs with people in the community who may require additional assistance, whether it be emotional or physical needs. This fall, they’re raising money specifically to benefit their veteran service division.
Their focus for fundraising at this year’s gala is placing psychiatric service dogs with veterans. The cost of training these dogs can be up to $30,000 per dog, but ICAN covers 90% of that cost.
On November 4, ICAN will host their VSD Gala called “Denim & Pearls” at the Kruse Plaza in Auburn. There will be live music, dinner, an auction and more.
