California man arrested in 2021 hit-and-run that killed pedestrian, 90
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A California man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 90-year-old woman in Fort Wayne in December of 2021.
A probable cause document says Trayvion Mosby, 29, from Lancaster, California has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and operation of a motor vehicle while never having received a valid driving license.
Court documents say Mosby was driving a black 2013 Dodge Avenger near the intersection of South Anthony Boulevard and Chinchilla Lane just before 1 a.m. on Christmas Eve in 2021 when he hit 90-year-old Ruth Ann Beyer. Mosby is accused of leaving the scene and then abandoning the car in an apartment complex.
Multiple witnesses heard and saw the collision take place, including one who saw the woman being struck, go into the air, and fly for “a few feet” before coming to rest in the roadway.
Per the probable cause affidavit, a search to locate Mosby locally and through Indiana BMV returned no results. He was later found with an address in Lancaster, CA. He was booked in the Allen County Jail on Friday, Oct. 20, police records show.
