THE SCORE: Homestead holds on for win over Bishop Luers, Knights share SAC title with Snider
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Homestead and Bishop Luers battled to the final moments of the fourth quarter, with the Spartans holding on for a 10-7 victory.
Snider coasted to a 37-0 win over Wayne, while Carroll defeated North Side 51-14.
Due to the new layout of the SAC, Snider holds a tiebreaker within it’s division over Carroll, so Snider and Bishop Luers will share this year’s SAC title.
The Northeast Eight will also feature a split championship this year.
New Haven beat Huntington North 47-12 on Friday night. Leo took down DeKalb 43-14, and East Noble posted a 70-7 win over Bellmont.
The Bulldogs, Lions, and Knights all finish the year with a 6-1 conference record, and the three teams will split the NE8 title.
