FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A weather system coming in from the west is bringing us rain showers for Tuesday evening and that chance will last through Wednesday as well.

At times, heavy rain is possible for one or two places across 21Country that may get caught under a thunderstorms. At other times, we won’t be dealing with the rain at all. So, for Tuesday evening until Thursday morning, keep those umbrellas on hand as rain showers will continue to pop-up then go away, only to spring back up and dissipate again.

Thursday afternoon, that weather system will have moved out of the area and high pressure will start to build in. As it does, drier weather is expected through the weekend. This will also warm up temperatures as we see highs go from upper 60s to low 70s on Wednesday to the upper 70s, pushing 80 for one or two spots by Sunday, and all signs point to the idea that the warm and dry weather is going to hang around through the first few days of October.
