MIDLAND, Mich. (WPTA) - The TinCaps fell in game three of their playoff series against Great Lakes, losing 2-1. The Loons advance to the Midwest League Championship Series. The TinCaps’ season is over.

For the second-straight game, the TinCaps struggled to generate offense from their lineup. Their one run came on a solo homer from Kai Murphy in the sixth inning.

Great Lakes scored its two runs on RBI doubles from Dalton Rushing and Alex Freeland in the third and fourth innings.

This year marked the TinCaps first playoff appearance since 2017, and their first winning season since 2015.

Fort Wayne now looks ahead. The TinCaps will begin the 2024 season at Great Lakes on April 5. The 2024 home opener is set for April 9.
