Patterson hosts EmPower Skills Camp, raises money for Autism Society of Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Ayanna Patterson made a big impact on a lot of lives on Friday.
The former Indiana Miss Basketball launched her new ‘EmPower Forward Basketball Skills Camp’ at the McMillen Park Community Center.
The camp offered skills coaching and competition for kids from first through eighth grade.
Patterson’s event also served as a fundraiser for the Autism Society of Indiana. Patterson and Parkview Sports Medicine presented ASI with a check for $15,000 on Friday afternoon.
The Homestead grad and current UConn forward said she hopes to turn this camp into an annual summer event in Fort Wayne.
