Dayton fan returns no-hitter baseball to Tincaps

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The TinCaps have a piece of team history back in their hands.
Dayton fan Wyatt Cowdrey returned the baseball from the final out of the Fort Wayne no-hitter against the Dragons last week.
TinCaps center fielder Jakob Marsee tossed the ball into the stands last week, not realizing he had just caught the final out in a no-hitter.
Cowdrey attempted to return the ball that night, but wasn’t successful. Through social media he connected with the TinCaps, and earned an invited back to the ballpark on Sunday, the final game of the TinCaps series at Dayton.
Cowdrey was happy to return the ball for free, but the TinCaps still reimbursed him with a few pieces of team memorabilia.
