FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Yesterday’s cold front will make for an unseasonably cool day.

Highs will only get into the 60s for Thursday as skies slowly clear throughout the day. A northeast wind kicking up between 10-15 mph will reinforce the cooler trend.

Despite the temperature dip for today, the overall warming pattern picks up going into Memorial Day weekend and next week. Next week will have the warmest temperatures of 2023 so far, with our first 90-degree day of the year possible by Wednesday.

With the hot temperatures and lack of rain in the forecast, dry conditions will remain a concern going into next week for the early growing season.

Today: Gradually clearing, cooler; High 67; Wind NE 10-15

Tonight: Mainly clear; Low 43; Wind E ~ 10
