Race for the Warrior 2023

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Join The Northeast Indiana Base Community Council on Saturday, May 20, 2023 for the 9th Annual Race for the Warrior. R4TW supports the Northeast Indiana Base Community Council and their Military Support Fund. The race will take flight on the stroller friendly runways at the Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and will occur rain or shine (no refunds will be issued).

Due to FWA and the 122nd Fighter Wing hosting the KC-135 Stratotanker’s from Grissom ARB, we will be holding the race on a different section of FWA with planes once again landing next to us.

Key Information:

• Same day registration and packet pickup/check-in opens at 7:30 am
• Race Start Time 9:00 am
• Training Trot start time - 10:45 am
• Bicycles are NOT allowed on the course
• The Race is not at the Airport’s Main Terminal - Park at Fort Wayne Metal’s Ardmore Ave parking lots. See address under Event Info.

The Northeast Indiana Base Community Council is a nonprofit “member” organization with a 501c3 Military Support Fund established through the Greater Fort Wayne Community Foundation. The fund provides grants to Military Members who live or serve in the eleven county area of Northeast Indiana, and their families during times of unexpected financial hardship. Taking care of the Service Member and his/her family allows the Service Member to focus on the mission. In addition to our Military Support Fund, we execute on our mission with other programs and activities related to workforce development, education, advocacy, and quality of life.
