UNCASVILLE, CT. (WPTA) - Leigha Brown has found another new opportunity in the WNBA.

The Connecticut Sun trade for the incoming rookie, picking her up in a deal with the Atlanta Dream. The Sun send Atlanta a 2025 third round draft pick in the trade.

Atlanta selected Brown with the 15th overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft.

Brown was a five-year college player, spending her first two years at Nebraska before transferring to Michigan.

During the 2022-23 campaign, Brown led the Wolverines, averaging 17.5 points and 5.8 assists per game.

Brown earned the 21Alive Girls Basketball Player of the Year award back in 2018, after her final high school season at DeKalb.
