Mother’s Day activities around Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - There are plenty of events and activities going on in Fort Wayne over the weekend to celebrate the moms and mother figures in your life for this Mother’s Day.

Downtown Shopping and Dining Deals

Certain Fort Wayne shops and restaurants will feature deals to take out Mom over the weekend, click here to see the list. Downtown businesses will be extra colorful as the Bloom Window Decorating Contest welcomes in the spring season. Special transportation will be set up for the weekend to take shoppers around the downtown corridors on Saturday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mother’s Day Plant Sale

The annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale is back at the McMillen Park Community Center. The fundraiser features over 700 varieties of plants to take home, benefitting the Botanical Conservatory. Planting experts will be available to answer questions as you shop.

Mother’s Day in the Garden

Mom can get in to the Botanical Conservatory for free all weekend long and stroll through the gardens and check out the live butterfly exhibit. The first 800 mothers at the Conservatory will get a free plant to take home!

Brunch at the Zoo

You can enjoy a special Mother’s Day brunch outdoors at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. Separate tickets are required outside of the zoo’s general admission, find remaining ticket information here.
