Turnstone basketball standout Haag signs with the University of Arizona

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Mackenzie Haag has showcased her skills for the wheelchair basketball program at Turnstone for a decade, and now she’ll get to continue her playing career at the college level.

Haag officially signed on with the team at the University of Arizona on Wednesday afternoon, during an event held at the Plassman Athletic Center Fieldhouse.

Haag says Turnstone, and the sport of wheelchair basketball, have made a massive impact on her life.

“With time I was able to grow into the person that I am today,” Haag said. “It helps to build a lot of confidence, especially in a predominantly male demographic.”
