TinCaps pitchers struggle in opener against Beloit

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The visiting Beloit Sky Carp overcame a slow start at the plate to put up some big offensive numbers in a 14-4 win over the TinCaps.

Fort Wayne starter Keegan Collett struck out the first seven batters he faced, but would later surrender a two-run homer to Joshua Zamora.

Throughout the night, TinCaps pitchers would give up 11 earned runs to the Sky Carp on 17 hits.

Fort Wayne’s lineup mustered 11 hits on Tuesday night, including a solo homer from leadoff man Jakob Marsee in the bottom of the first.

The TinCaps and Sky Carp will continue their series on Wednesday night at 6:35pm.
