Mastodon men’s golf leads after Round 1 at Horizon League Championship
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL. (WPTA) - Purdue Fort Wayne’s men’s golf team is off to a great start at this year’s Horizon League Championship.
The Mastodon men grabbed a two-shot lead after Round 1 in Florida.
Led by Kasey Lilly, the Mastodons (290) currently have a two-shot lead over Oakland (292).
Individually, Lilly is tied for first place after an opening round 69 (-3). Hunter Mefford and Nick Holder are both currently tied for sixth after opening rounds of 73 (+1).
The Mastodon ladies are also off to a nice start as they are currently tied for third with Oakland (315). The Mastodon ladies are just three back of IUPUI (312).
Individually, Anna Olafsdottir is currently in fourth place after an opening round 76 (+4). Laura Caetano is tied for fifth after opening with a 77 (+5).
Round 2 begins tomorrow in Florida.
