CINCINNATI, Ohio. (WPTA) - Despite a three-goal lead heading into the third period Friday night, the Komets dropped Game 1 of their best-of-seven series with the Cyclones. Saturday, the Komets looked to even the series before heading back to Fort Wayne for Game 3.
Unlike Friday, it was a slow start in Game 2 for the Komets.
Zach Berzolla and Patrick Polino each scored in the first period to give the Cyclones a 2-0 lead.
The score wouldn’t change after a scoreless second period.
Komets get on the board in the third period after Matt Alvaro scored for the K’s on the power play. But, they would come up short again in game two. Cyclones win, 2-1.
Game 3 starts Tuesday at 7:35 p.m. at the Coliseum.
