Komets win regular season finale in overtime
TOLDEO, Ohio. (WPTA) - It’s been a rough month for the Komets, who have won just one game in their last six. But, the Komets figured things out against the Toledo Walleye in their regular-season finale Sunday.

In the first period on Sunday, Sam Dove-McFalls ripped one into the back of the net for the game’s first goal. Gordie Green would tie things back at one for the Walleye.
After a scoreless second period, Drake Rymsha would take advantage of the power play for Fort Wayne, putting them up 2-1. But Andrew Sturtz of Toledo would provide the equalizer for Toledo. The game would head to overtime with both teams tied at two.
In overtime, Jake Johnson, who scored his first professional goal Saturday, would provide the game-winner for the Komets. The Komets snap a four-game skid with a Sunday win, 3-2.
Next up for the Komets is the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Their best-of-seven series against the Cincinnati Cyclones begins Friday at 7:35 p.m.
