Komets fall in final home game of regular season, 5-4
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Komets hosted the Indy Fuel Saturday night in their last home game of the regular season.
In the first period, Jake Johnson scored his first professional goal for the Komets to tie things up at one.
Later in the first, Bryan Lemos scored for the Fuel to pull ahead 2-1, but the K’s would strike again for the equalizer from Shawn Boudrias, his 33rd goal of the season.
The Komets and Fuel were knotted up, 3-3, heading into the third period.
The Fuel would score first in the third period on a goal by Seamus Malone, but the Komets would answer again thanks to a Samuel Dove-McFalls goal.
Still, the Fuel would prevail in this one thanks to a strong offensive performance with a final of 5-4.
Komets end their year on the road against Toledo Sunday evening.
