FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - It’s officially our last winter morning! Astronomical spring begins later this evening, and while I can’t promise we won’t see any cold mornings in the future, at least a much more springlike trend is holding on going through this week.

We’re waking up to temperatures in the upper 20s and below freezing to start out the new workweek, but milder air is in store. Highs today will soar thanks to a southwest wind and sunny skies. Temperatures areawide will push into the upper 40s to low 50s. Monday will be a compltely dry day, but chances for rain will gradually creep up in the forecast as the week goes on.

We make it back into the 50s by Tuesday and even have the potential to hit the 60 degree mark by Thursday. Most of Tuesday will stay dry, but a few scattered showers are possible by the late evening/ overnight hours.

Today: Mostly sunny; High 48; Wind SW 10-15, gusts to 30

Tonight: Partly cloudy; Low 31; Wind SW 10-15, gusts to 25
