Komets fight back in third, beat Wings 5-3

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WPTA) - The Komets put together another comeback victory on Friday night, rallying back to beat the Wings 5-3.
Kalamazoo took a 3-1 lead into the second intermission. Fort Wayne fought back with a pair of power play goals from Mark Rassell, with a Drake Rymsha goal in-between.
Fort Wayne added an empty-netter from Matt Alvaro with 1:24 left to secure the victory.
The Wings out-shot the Komets 37-25 on the night. Despite getting only nine shots on goal in the third, the Komets cashed in with four goals during the final period.
The Komets now travel to Indianapolis to take on the Fuel on Saturday night at 7pm.
