FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - We’ll experience a case of weather whiplash over the next few days, taking us from spring to winter-like conditions just in time for the weekend.
Your Wednesday evening will be a pleasant one, considering the time of year. Temperatures will fall from the 40s into the mid 30s by Thursday morning.
Warmer weather will surge in during the afternoon on Thursday, with highs in the low 50s expected. However, this is ahead of our next weather system that is expected to bring us widespread rain Thursday evening, lasting into late Friday morning.
The moisture shouldn’t hang around too much into Friday afternoon, but cold air will surge in late Friday morning, taking afternoon temperatures down into the mid 30s, and they day will be quite windy. So, if you have St. Patrick’s Day plans, you’ll likely want to take the coats and scarves with you on Friday evening.
Saturday will have colder air hanging around, but we stay dry, and that dry trend continues into next work week as temperatures slowly work their way back to normal, with afternoon highs going from the low 30s on Saturday up to the mid 40s by next Tuesday.
