FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Despite a short period of cold air coming in this weekend, today kicks off a warmer pattern that picks back up next week.
Sunshine will last throughout the day as only a few clouds move across the region. Highs today will be more seasonal for this time of year as we return in the mid 40s.
The 50s will make a comeback tomorrow, but our sunny skies will be traded out for more clouds and rain. Showers are expected to begin in the evening/night hours and carry over into the first half of St. Patrick’s Day. The end of the workweek will be breezy as gusts could reach 30-40 mph at times.
As showers wrap up on St. Patrick’s Day, colder air ushers in. Temperatures will drop out of the upper 40s during the afternoon and tumble back into the low 20s. The weekend will be cold, but next week will hold on to the 40s & 50s as highs.
Today: Mostly sunny; High 45; Wind SW 5-10
Tonight: Increasing clouds; Low 34; Wind S ~ 10
