FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Komets beat the Nailers 6-4 on Friday night. The Komets also beat up the Nailers throughout the game.

A series of roughing and fighting penalties scattered throughout the Fort Wayne victory, and things really escalated after the empty-netter with 34 seconds.

The ensuing rough-housing resulted in 16 penalties (there were 32 total on the night). This included a goalie fight between Fort Wayne’s Ryan Fanti and Wheeling’s Brad Barone, a conflict instigated by Barone, but won decisively by Fanti.

Drake Rymsha had two goals and an assist for the Komets on Friday night.

These two teams will play again in Wheeling on Saturday night at 7:10pm.
