Komets rally, but fall at home to Toledo

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Komets fought back on Wednesday night, but a late push from Toledo secured a 5-3 victory for the Walleye.
Toledo went up 3-0 in the first ten minutes of the night, scoring two of those goals on power plays.
The Komets rallied in the second, getting goals from Joe Masonius, Sam Dove-McFalls, and Adam Brubacher. The teams entered the third period tied 3-3.
The Walleye went back in front for good on a goal from former Komet Brandon Hawkins early in the third period.
Toledo added an empty-netter with 16 seconds left to seal the victory.
The Komets will play another home game on Saturday night at 7:30 against Wheeling.
