INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WPTA) - Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration for what he describes as federal overreach.

The lawsuit is in response to a new rule that would classify gun pistols with stabilizing braces as short-barreled rifles.

“The real problem here is that millions of Hoosiers and Americans are going to be ensnared in a overly broad net that’s going to trap them into being forced to register their property, their guns and also register themselves,” Rokita says.

Rokita is also facing an investigation by the Disciplinary Commission of the Indiana Supreme Court.

The investigation is in regards to comments Rokita made about an Indiana doctor who provided abortion services to an Ohio rape victim.

“I am going to cooperate with the Disciplinary Commission for sure because I want nothing less than to be the best Attorney General that I can be, and I want the legal system to be the best and most credible it can be,” Rokita says.
