Tell Julian: A Visit to Bear and Beak Bakery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - When you walk into Bear and Beak Bakery, you’re overwhelmed, in the best way, by the sweet aroma.

Owner Sharon Metzger and her husband Kyle opened the bakery in July 2021. They discovered their passion for baking during the pandemic and they wanted their store name to mean something.

You see “Bear and Beak” are the nicknames of their two kids.

“We wanted to reflect our family who we love and kind of our motivation for starting our own business,” said Metzger.

There are so many sweet treats to choose from at Bear and Beak.

From monster cookies to cake pops, you’re sure to find something that satisfies your craving.

As a working mom of two, Metzger also thought about the busy parents out there. Inside, you’ll find a cozy playroom complete with lots of toys to keep the kids distracted while you enjoy a sweet treat.
