Temperature crash tonight
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - While many areas got to freezing or just above today, Arctic air will return tonight through Friday.
A northwest wind will develop tonight and bring very cold air back to the region. The low tonight will drop to around 10, while it will feel like zero to five below in the morning with the wind, which could gust up to 25 MPH at times. Despite some sun, temperatures Friday won’t go very far as highs will be in the upper teens. The wind should calm a bit by midday, but it may feel around 10 degrees for most of the day.
A major warming trend will begin over the weekend with highs rising to the 30s Saturday and 40s Sunday. FIRST ALERT weather will track these big temperature changes on 21 ALIVE news.
