FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Expect widespread snow as the morning continues, with the heaviest rates being up to 1″ per hour at times during the first half of the day. Any commutes today will likely be on the slower/ more cautious side due to the snow. Some blowing/ drifting is likely in more open, rural areas as wind gusts go up to 25-30 miles per hour, but due to the heavy, wet consistency of this snow it shouldn’t be the main concern.
The bulk of this system will move out during the evening, but spotty snow showers will remain in the forecast tonight through the end of the workweek.
Today: Heavy snow; High 33; wind Becoming N 10-15, gusts to 25
Tonight: Snow showers; Low 29; Wind W 10-15, gusts to 25
