DECATUR, Ind. (WPTA) - The coaches from the seven ACAC schools met up Wednesday afternoon, for the annual draw before the conference tournament.

Both Jay County teams will look to defend their crown in a historic year for the event. It’s the 100th year of the boys tournament and 49th year of the girls competition.

Southern Wells receives the first round bye this year. Bluffton’s teams will host Woodlan in the first round on Tuesday, January 10th. That night, the Heritage teams will play at Jay County, and the South Adams teams will take a short trip to Adams Central.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, January 13th. The finals will be held that Saturday at the Stardome at South Adams.

Wednesday, the ACAC also announced new trophies for the event. The girls trophy will now be named after Bluffton coaching icon Ron DeWitt.

The boys tournament trophy will feature the name of 21Alive’s Dean Pantazi.
