FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control (FWACC) officers managed to rescue a stuck coyote over the weekend.

Officials say that officers received reports on Saturday of what was believed to be a dog with a jug stuck on its head.

FWACC officers arrived to find that what was suspected to be a dog was actually a coyote.

According to officials, FWACC officers managed to cut the jug off the coyote’s head, and they say it quickly sprinted into the woods.

“We aren’t sure how long he had been stuck like that but he would’ve died an awful slow death if it weren’t for the kind person who called us and our officers that saved him,” FWACC said in a Facebook post.
