FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - High temperatures will climb to the upper 40s Friday afternoon as winds turn gusty ahead of a colder weekend with sunshine. Morning lows in the low 30s and wind chills in the mid-to-low 20s begin Friday. A warm front will shift into the region by the lunch hour, bringing warmer air and gusty winds. As highs climb to near 50s under party-to-mostly cloudy skies, winds will gust as highs as 35 to 40 mph into the late afternoon and early evening.

A weak cold front will follow overnight, bringing a slight chance for a few scattered showers and colder air for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30s both days. Winds will still be gusty Saturday but things will gradually turn quiet as we move into Sunday. Highs return to the low-to-mid 40s early next week.

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!
