FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Gusty winds start Thursday ahead of a quiet, mostly sunny, but still cold afternoon. Morning lows have dipped into the low 20s with wind chills in the low teens and even single digits. Bundle up early and keep the jacket handy all day as highs are only set to reach the mid 30s. Winds will gradually weaken through mid-morning as skies remain clear and sunny into the afternoon. Overnight lows will dip back into the mid 20s under partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures will climb back into the mid-to-upper 40s Friday through winds will again increase and turn rather blustery by the afternoon and evening. Strong winds will persist into Saturday as a system brings a chance of showers and possibly a wintry mix overnight. After starting Saturday morning in the low 40s, daytime highs will drop to the mid 30s following the front as winds remain gusty.

Have a great Thursday!
