FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We had a beautiful start to the weekend with above average temperatures, but rain will dampen most plans on Sunday.

Rain showers will move in during the overnight hours and into Sunday morning. Between about 5am-10am is when we expect the heaviest of the rain to fall. Temperatures in the morning will be in the low 40s.

As we head into the afternoon on Sunday, rain will become more scattered, eventually ending by early evening for most. The afternoon high will be around 50.

We’ll see dry conditions as we get into the first day of the work week. Temperatures will drop slightly on Monday from Sunday, but then Tuesday we’ll feature highs back into the 50s. This is ahead of our next weather system that moves through overnight and into Wednesday. This weather system will accompany as sharp, but brief drop in temperatures. The timing of the cold air will make the difference as to whether or not snow is possible on Wednesday.

High temperatures will fall into the 30s for Thursday before calmer weather and seasonal temperatures return by next weekend.
