FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The cold air will not be leaving us anytime soon. So, get used to needing the coats as you leave the house at any point this week.

The few lake effect snow flurries left will taper off overnight. Monday morning will be dry. Morning temperatures will drop down into the low 20s. Patchy freezing fog is possible on Monday morning, which could cause some slick spots on the road. So, use caution on your morning commute.

During the afternoon, we’ll approach 40 for the high and we’ll see a bit of sunshine as well mixed in with some clouds.

Tuesday brings our next weather system that could drop some light snow accumulations with most people seeing between 0.5″ and 2″ at most. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid-to-upper 30s

Snow flurries will linger into Wednesday and Thursday, then we’ll be dry until the weekend. Colder air will then filter in after the weather system moves through with afternoon highs by next Friday struggling to reach the low 30s.
