Crews investigating fatal crash along Minnich Road

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says crews are investigating a fatal crash in southeastern Allen County Wednesday morning.

Police say the crash happened around 9 a.m. in the 10000 block of Minnich Road, just north of the intersection with Hoffman Road.

The department says in a news release that a woman was driving north on Minnich Road when she went off the east side of the road for an unknown reason and rolled over in a corn field. Police say she was the only person in the car at the time and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s department and the Hoagland Fire Department closed the road in the area for a couple of hours as they worked to clean up the crash. The incident remains under investigation at the time of this report.
