Avery re-signs for another season as Fort Wayne FC head coach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Mike Avery helped guide Fort Wayne FC to major progress in 2022, and he’ll try to take the club even further next season.

Fort Wayne FC announced a contract extension for Avery on Wednesday, that will keep him with the club through the 2023 season.

“Fort Wayne FC is a special club filled with incredible people,” Avery said, in a club press release. “We are already working very hard to bring the best supporters in the country an even better version in 2023.”

Avery and his team went 9-3-2 during the 2022 season, finishing third in the USL2 Central Conference - Valley Division. The team went just 1-8-5 the year prior.
