Saint Francis football cruises to 51-19 win over Judson in home opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Saint Francis football team took care of business in the home opener, beating Judson 51-19.

Cam Peterson had a big game on the ground, rushing for 216 yards and a score, although he did fumble three times, losing two of them.

USF quarterback Heath Simmons went 23 of 24 passing, with four touchdowns and one interception.

The Cougars also utilized freshman quarterback Laban Davis, giving him reps at the running back position. The former Eastside star rushed for 26 yards, and had three catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Saint Francis begins conference play next weekend, hosting Saint Xavier on Saturday at 6pm.
