FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Purdue Fort Wayne announced a contract extension for men’s basketball head coach Jon Coffman on Thursday.
The new deal will keep Coffman with the Mastodons through the 2029-30 season.
Coffman joined then IPFW as an assistant coach in 2011. He ascended into the head coaching role in 2014, following the departure of Tony Jasick.
Coffman heads into the 2022-23 season with 139 career wins, four victories shy of Andy Piazza’s all-time program record.
The Mastodons claimed a share of the Horizon League regular season title last season. The Purdue Fort Wayne program is still seeking it’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
