FWPD investigating fatal shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Fort Wayne Police Department says they are investigating after a man was found dead at a southeast side apartment Monday afternoon.

Police say they found a man dead in the 1400 block of Greene Street, in the Villages of Hanna apartments, just before 1 p.m. They say someone called dispatch and said a “friend was shot”, and several other callers advised of shots fired in the area.

Officers say the man was found with multiple gunshot wounds but are not sure where exactly took place. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
