FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - On-and-off showers and storms continue Sunday night through Tuesday morning as a cold front slowly moves through.

Showers will be likely through the night with an occasional rumble of thunder. Some heavy rain and localized flooding will be possible, especially where storms “train,” or redevelop over similar areas. Temperatures only fall to the low 70s as conditions remain rather muggy.

Some showers are possible Monday morning. We should then have bit of clearing in the late morning to mid afternoon. During that time, temperatures will rise back to the mid to upper 80s. With the humidity, the heat index will get into the mid 90s. Another round of showers and storms is likely in the late afternoon to evening hours. That round could again bring chances for localized flooding.

Showers may linger into Tuesday morning, especially south of Fort Wayne. The cold front should fully move through Tuesday, which will only allow temperatures to rise into the upper 70s to low 80s.

Milder air remains in place through the week, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Skies should be sunny and conditions remain dry for the rest of the week aside from a very low rain chance on Thursday.
