Wiley advances to 1500m final at U20 World Championships

CALI, Colombia (WPTA) - Huntington’s Addy Wiley will race for a world title on Saturday.

The former Huntignton North star raced in the 1500m prelims at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Colombia on Thursday.

Wiley finished second in her heat, with a time of 4:19.39 seconds, just 0.42 seconds behind the heat winner, Mebright Mekonen.

Wiley posted the tenth best time in the field of 41 runners, and will now move on the finals on Saturday evening.
