Kennisha Jackson found guilty in 2020 homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A Fort Wayne woman has been found guilty in the 2020 homicide of a 19-year-old man.
On Thursday, August 4, an Allen County jury found 21-year-old Kennisha Jackson guilty for murder with a firearm enhancement in the shooting death of 19-year-old Diquan Meriwether.
The shooting happened at Pontiac Street and Abbott Street on January 14, 2020, inside a home. Police said the violence stemmed from an argument concerning money. Jackson told investigators the victim pulled a gun on her but dropped the gun. She told detectives she picked it up and shot him.
