High school portion of Woodson’s ‘Hope Through Football’ camp ramps up at Snider High School

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Rod Woodson’s free ‘Hope Through Football’ camp rolled into Thursday, with the high school potion of the camp kicking off.

High school athletes from the area began the day by going through a combine. The combine was similar to what NFL hopeful college players go through at the NFL combine. Players are given their results, and can see how they stack up against other athletes in their age group from around the country.

After a lunch break, players then dispersed into classrooms based off of their position groups. The athletes got to watch NFL film, study NFL plays, and pick the brains of current/former NFL players and coaches.

A handful of recognizable NFL players and coaches helped spread knowledge amongst the high school players, such as Hall of Fame offensive lineman Walter Jones and current Seattle Seahawks safety Ryan Neal. Former Raiders defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan and former New York Giants assistant coach Jerald Ingram were also in attendance and helped coach.
