Thunderstorms possible this evening and tonight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Today will be a hot and humid day with highs approaching 90 degrees and it feeling like the mid 90s.

Clouds increase throughout the day with the potential for a few storms during the afternoon and evening. Better chances move in overnight. Heavy rain is the primary threat although gusty if not damaging winds are possible along with hail. Storms will end by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday begins the next cooler and relatively quiet phase. Temperatures stay in the mid 80s trough Thursday with generally sunny skies.

Warmer weather moves in during the weekend with the potential of another round of rain. We’ll have the latest on the thunderstorm threat today and the weekend rain threat coming up at 12 and 5PM on ABC21.
