Ossian Fire Department says fireworks likely caused elementary school fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - An elementary school south of Fort Wayne caught fire Saturday night. Officials with the Ossian Fire Department shared the details on their Facebook page.
They say the fire was likely caused by fireworks that were shot off in the area.
Officials say when they arrived they found smoke coming from the roof of Ossian Elementary School. They say they found a small fire on the roof above the gymnasium near the stage. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Fire officials say they want to remind everyone to be mindful of where they are shooting off fireworks through the rest of the holiday weekend.
