FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Rain showers will work their way west to east through the region on Sunday morning. For some, it’ll be a welcomed sight because the rain is needed, but others might miss out on it all together.

After the rain moves through late morning on Sunday, a cold front will begin moving through the area. As it does, we’ll see skies gradually clearing as we head towards the evening AND less humid air. Temperatures are still expected to peak in the mid 80s in the afternoon.

On Monday, we’ll have plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Mixed with a few high level clouds. This will be the day you really notice the difference. Temperatures only climbing into the upper 70s in the heart of the afternoon, and with dew points in the low 50s, it’ll feel like a much more refreshing day!

Tuesday through Thursday we’ll feature plenty of sunshine. Highs on Tuesday will be right about where they’re supposed to be for this time of year, in the low 80s. Then, the heat starts to build back in again as highs are expected to be in the 90s by Friday.

Looking ahead at next weekend, it looks like there’s the chance for rain on both Friday and Saturday. Timing of the rain is still in question being six to seven days away, but it does look like a little more relief from the dry conditions is on the way.
